Project Description
The RHS Forest Bathing Garden is all about spending time under the canopy of trees surrounded by nature for improved health and wellbeing. It often takes place with a guide and focuses on exploring the natural environment using the senses (sight, sound, touch and smell) to create mindfulness awareness.
Inspired by the Forest bathing concept the design includes a canopy of trees to create dappled shade with mounds covered in wild meadow to the front and the rear of the garden shielding visitors and creating a feeling of enclosure.
Surrounding the main walk way will be glossy shade planting with textural and contrasting leaf shapes combining with the dappled shade to bring a cool, calm and quiet woodland experience to the show ground.
The RHS Hampton Court Palace Festival took place from Mon 4 – Saturday 9 July 2022 and more information about the show can be found here: RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival
