Project Description

We are very pleased to have recently completed a garden space at Heartlands Hospital near Birmingham in the West Midlands.

The garden is located next to the hospitals Maternity building and will provide a calm, quite and safe place for patients and their families to make use of as part of services provided by the Eden Bereavement Suite.  The garden was made possible through a partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham Charity.

Designed to be a private and peaceful space for parents to use in times of need the garden has two small covered seating areas surrounded by trees and plants to create a calm and quiet atmosphere.  The central path includes a sphere sculpture as a focal point with the sculptural leaves designed as a reminder of the rhythms and cycles of nature.

The garden has recently been completed and is now being used by patients at the hospital.

Project Year: 2022
